Many sites allow you to picnic around Nolay
- Le Bout du Monde and its waterfall. From Nolay direction Cormot, Vauchignon, park your vehicle in the car park and walk 500 meters to the waterfall. Tables and benches at the start of the site. Natura 2000 classified site.
- Le Mont de Sène or Montagne des Trois Croix, at the entrance to Nolay, coming from Beaune, turn left at the exit of the hamlet Les Louchardes, in the direction of Dezize-lès-Maranges. Arrived at Borgy, take a road on the left, park your vehicle, the rest is on foot. Viewpoint with the possibility of seeing Mont Blanc on a clear day. Site classified as a natural park and preserved natural area.
- Les Halles: in case of rain, it’s a safe shelter for a dry picnic!
- The point of view of the Virgin: from Nolay, take the D33 Rue du Docteur Lavirotte, continue straight on the road to Cirey and 150 meters after the hamlet of Cirey which dominates Nolay, turn right, a small discreet road that leads to ‘to the virgin. Very beautiful point of view on Nolay, Epertully, the Maranges, the Cozanne Valley … We also see superb sunsets! Benches on site.
- The Nolay lake: for a cool stopover and soak your feet, the Nolay lake is perfect!
- All along the Voie des Vignes, benches and tables welcome you for a break and a snack.

In Nolay, the Charcuterie Nolaytoise offers award-winning parsley ham, judrus, pâté en croûte … everything is delicious.
The Cochard Bakery will allow you to buy cereal bread, a festive baguette, quiches, ham croissants and fruit desserts such as macaroon with fresh raspberries or chocolate with the Nolaytois success. In summer, they even have sorbets to take away, but afterwards you have to hurry …
The Dervin bakery offers you special breads, the nolaytoise, a baguette in a salted seed crust perfect for a snack, mixed salads, the salmon one is top, desserts and desserts with a large choice of flavors and pleasures. Try the Gianduja Caramel.
For cheese, you can find Burgundy cheeses: brillat-savarin, époisses and local goats at the B1 store at the exit of the village towards Autun.
Finally, to make everything perfect: yum yum glou glou, buy a bottle of Hautes-Côtes from one of the many winegrowers in the village.
